What do you mean by ‘Free Articles’ ?
Authors submit their writings to free article directories to build up their reputation and link backs to their website. Any website can republish these articles by abiding to creative commons rules and keeping any links intact.
Instead of writing your own content you can simply publish free articles to keep your readers entertained. There are some pros and cons however as the easiest path to blogging fame may not be the best. So, where to get these mass published prints…
Free Article Directories
There has been massive growth of article directories on the internet. This is because they like to generate revenue by using Google AdSense and uploaded content from enthusiastic free article writers.
Free articles serve the author by sending specific traffic back to their website. This is effectively achieved by attaching an intriguing signature or author bio at the bottom of the article. As free online newsletter editors search for monthly content, new blogs seek relevant texts, author bio links grow as their free articles are republished. Google then scans these blogs, newsletters, article directories which all point back to the authors PageRank effectively pushing up the author website in Google Search results.

“The word blog is irrelevant, what’s important is that it is now common, and will soon be expected, that every intelligent person (and quite a few unintelligent ones) will have a media platform where they share what they care about with the world.” Read the rest of this entry »
Wondering what blog industry think tanks and top bloggers believe their future will be? Read on…
Brad Feld
“In 2004 when Technorati started, the typical reaction to the word ‘blog’ was ‘huh - can you repeat yourself?’ Today, blogs are everywhere —even presidential candidates have blogs. The blog has forever changed the way publishing works —now anyone can be a publisher. The issue is no longer distribution; rather, it’s relevance.” |

“The idea of blogging will never disappear, but the process by content is created for one blog or a series of blogs will continue to undergo radical upheavals. This past year, we saw the introduction of countless “microblogging” platforms, to the point where they (themselves) have become a commodity —further pushing individual voices to the Blogosphere’s melting pot. Brand will continue to decentralize, and micro-communities will form within any one of the loosely-structured services (like FriendFeed, which values the continuation of conversation as much as it does the initiation portion).” Read the rest of this entry »

The opportunity to create your own blog with little funding or technical ability has been around for some time now. I wanted to find out why people enjoy ‘their place on the Internet‘ and become a blogger?
Firstly to get an estimate on the size of the blogosphere we turn to
studies over at Technorati. There are several separate studies into the
actual number of blogs in existence. Most are
Wordpress blogs but there are other platforms out their to blog from.
- Technorati says 133 million (June 2008)
- comScore MediaMetrix says (August 2008)
- eMarketer says 22.6 million are US bloggers (May 2008)
- Universal McCann says 184 million people worldwide have a blog (March 2008). They also say that 77% of active Internet users read blogs.
