Quitting Your Job and Blogging – the Internet Business Model

What is a JOB ?
A job is where your trade your time for money. A job is where your employer controls your life and you do not (from 9 til 5). A job is where you work for a boss who may be less competent than you and as frustrating as that is you cannot ever do anything about that unless:
You learn to work smarter not harder.
Examples of Working Smart
- Obtain assets (property) that generate income (rent) for you.
- Create assets (posts) that generate income (ad revenue) for you.
The concept is the same for investment property, share portfolios and internet business. Work smarter not harder. This concept is why the Monies network exists. And yes – you have heard this before. It is not new.
Why is Internet Business such a Big Thing?
- Minimal Money Down – Set it up, see if it works, and if it does then start sinking money into the project if it ‘has legs’. Approximately 60% of my domains I have purchased for a possible niche market have fallen flat on their face. I don’t let it get to me –I just try again. Remember – Edison attempted to invent the light bulb 9999 times before he hit the switch.
- Minimal Down Time – 24 hours and 7 days a week. “It makes money when you sleep” – I am so sick of hearing that J The only time it may be down is for ‘technical difficulties’ in which case have an outsourced tech email address handy for your clients
- Minimal Overheads – No expensive CBD locations to lease, no highly trained staff to keep happy, just you and the machine. Of course you need to own a domain and host it ($100/year is trivial) If you are not capable to tinker with your website you can always hire a programmer to do so for you. But essentially – when you’re happy with your site it runs itself!
- Minimal Intervention – You own a business when you can walk away and come back many months later and money is still profitably coming in. If not – you have a J.O.B. The Internet is a systemised automated beast – you just have to sit back and supervise it.
- Maximum Market – The interconnected world. It doesn’t matter where you travel to you are likely to find an internet cafe somewhere. Telecommunications and Information Technology infrastructure is unstoppable. You need to get your business out there and start providing solutions.
- Minimal Time on Product Delivery – ship your intellectual property to your clients by the time your product launch nibbles are finished. eBooks, DVDs, 3D model plans, music, in-depth analysis. Stop wasting time, get an email list and start backing your own e-launch now!
- Minimal Advertising Fees – Google AdSense is relatively cheap compared to putting a half-pager in your local newspaper or getting a 30 blip in between segments for Radio 1.
- Break free from the Shackles – Technically you can communicate to your business from anywhere in the world. Pack a travel laptop and become a road warrior. Adjust spreadsheets in collaborative forums, set up Video Teleconferencing, podcasts, webinars or simply be boring and email. You are free to move your office cubicle to beach in Boracay.
